Missing from Plant City, Florida: Cieha Taylor
On February 6th, 2020, Cieha Annette Taylor was seen for the last time. Cieha, known for her eccentric, curious, affectionate and thirst-for-life personality, has been missed every day since her friends and family last heard from her, and they refuse to give up hope. Their continued search for answers is a reminder that the painful quest to search for a missing loved one is not something that ever goes away. When the media coverage slows down, and the public conversations start to simmer, families like Cieha’s still live with the heartbreak of the unknown. That is why it is our duty as active true crime consumers to continue talking about Cieha’s case and cases like hers.
While there is little known about the specifics of the day Cieha disappeared, it is known that she spent the day with her boyfriend. This boyfriend had not been treating her well for some time, but Cieha’s big heart still allowed him into her life. Around 4pm on February 6th, 2020, it’s been said that she dropped him off at his house, suggesting that this was the last time she’d been seen. However, at 7pm that day, police received a call that a Toyota Solara was found abandoned on a train track, with the keys inside and the vehicle still running. This car would later be determined to belong to Cieha – importantly, her phone, license and debit card were still inside.
Days later a missing person report was filed, and despite boots-on-the-ground search efforts, in addition to helicopter and K9 unit support, nothing was found to indicate what may have happened to her. Notably – several weeks after her disappearance, Cieha’s shoes were found in a drainage pipe close to where her car had been abandoned. What’s strange about this is that the area had previously been searched.
The circumstances of her disappearance are incredibly suspicious and her family is adamant that she would not have intentionally walked away from her life. They felt this way from the moment she went missing, and they feel the same way now, over 6 and a ½ years later.
In September of 2020, Cieha’s case was featured on the True Crime With Kendall Rae YouTube Channel, where Kendall worked directly with her loved ones to share the details of what happened. That episode and more details on Cieha’s case can be viewed HERE. Since then, their fight for answers hasn’t stopped.
A message from Cieha’s and her mother, Canitha:
“The Reality of Ambiguous Loss
Having Cieha missing for more than six years has brought our family a type of grief that is difficult to explain. We have experienced the loss of Cieha physically being gone while not having the certainty that comes with knowing what happened to her. There has been no clear goodbye. No definite answers. No place to visit her. No opportunity to know where she is or what happened to her. Every day, we carry the uncertainty, the love, and the pain of not knowing where she is.
The Loss That Comes With the Search
The search has also shown us that the people you think will always be there sometimes aren’t. Some people have walked away. Others have caused additional hurt and betrayal. That wound is deep, especially when a family is already living with the unimaginable pain of having a loved one missing. But despite the difficult moments, we continue to advocate for Cieha. The good, the bad, and the ugly. We continue because Cieha deserves to be found, and her family deserves answers.”
Important Social Media Update:
The Former “Finding Cieha” Facebook page is no longer controlled by Canitha or any immediate family members. She has since created a new official Facebook page called “The Search For Cieha Taylor Continues.” “Cieha’s mother and immediate family members are not affiliated with any other social-media accounts claiming to present the family or speak on Cieha’s behalf.”

How You Can Help:
“We want to remind people that helping doesn’t always mean having the answer. Be kind. You never know what someone else is carrying. Listen. Sometimes simply listening is more powerful than we realize. Share. Awareness brings hope. Show up. Consistent support matters. And most importantly, if you know something, say something. Someone may have seen something six years ago that didn’t seem important at the time. Someone may remember a conversation, a vehicle, a location, a name, or a detail they dismissed years ago. We are asking people to take another look. Please watch, share, and talk about Cieha’s story. We are praying that somewhere out there is the person who has the information our family has been waiting six years to receive.
Cieha is still missing.
Cieha is still loved.
Cieha is still being searched for.
And we will not stop until we find her.”
