To start off – on behalf of Kendall, Josh and the Higher Hope team, we want to thank you for subscribing to our newsletter.
You are the kind of active true crime consumer that makes this space better, more ethical, and filled with hope. Your interest in learning more about helping victims and like-minded nonprofits helps us alleviate some of the financial burden that comes with violent crime. While financial donations, whether one-time or recurring, do help us further our mission, there are many ways you can support Higher Hope without spending a dime.Â
Engaging With Any & All Mile Higher Media Content
By watching, subscribing, liking and commenting on any of the Mile Higher Media Shows, including True Crime with Kendall Rae, Mile Higher Podcast, Lights Out Podcast & The Sesh, you are directly supporting Higher Hope. Every interaction made with these channels signals to the algorithm that our content should continue to be pushed out to a wide audience. The analytics impact advertising revenue (ad-rev), and a percentage of all ad-rev across all Mile Higher Media shows goes directly towards funding our Hope & Empower Grants.Â
Additionally – the more Mile Higher Media content that gets pushed out, the more people who have the opportunity to learn about Higher Hope. It is one of our goals to broaden our reach, therefore increasing the likelihood that victims, families of victims and like-minded nonprofits can apply for support.Â
Sharing Higher Hope On Socials, Word Of MouthÂ
A very simple yet highly effective way of supporting Higher Hope is sharing us on social media. As mentioned, broadening our reach allows us to help more people and the greater our reach, the greater our impact. It can be as simple as sharing a post on your Instagram story, Facebook or LinkedIn.Â
Word of mouth is also a great way for people to learn about Higher Hope. Maybe there’s someone you know who qualifies for a grant, and they don’t know where to begin with getting support, or maybe you mention Higher Hope to a friend and they know someone who would benefit from a grant. Any opportunity to share our mission with the world is an opportunity to help someone in need.Â
Follow Through On Calls To Action, Engage With Grantees
One of the most impactful ways you can show your support is by actively engaging with those who have already been awarded a grant. Many of the Hope & Empower Grantees are seeking the public’s help, whether that be acting on a call to action or simply looking to know that people care. Families who have missing or murdered loved ones want to know that they have not been forgotten, and something as simple as following their justice page and commenting a kind word can go a long way. Many nonprofits also want to expand their reach, so following their social media can be incredibly useful.Â
Be on the lookout for calls to action. We include a CTA section in our newsletter and every month you can find actionable ways to support Grantees, many of which don’t require any financial donations.
